Getting Domesticated

After about 4 to 5 years, it is just now that I got to wash again our clothes. Big thanks to technology and they invented automatic washing machine (I heart this appliance)!. My Tita Yaya had painful hands and she was afraid that if the pain worsen, she might not be able to do her real source of income (that's doing manicure and pedicure). So I let her go though I know I would really need a lot of adjustments to do. So for two weeks now, we do not have a helper and I decided that we would stick with this set up for the meantime. Golly, since we transferred in our house, this is the first time after 4 years that I would do almost all the household chores on top of my job in the call center and on top of those side jobs.

But really, I feel so fulfilled right now. So you see I am NOT complaining. Imagine, just for this day I was able to wrote 15 articles in the morning, did the laundry (one week load) in the afternoon and cleaned the whole house . Have you noticed there is no cooking and washing of the dishes in my list? Those are my hubby's tasks. We were even kidding each other - like if this is already a sampler of how our life would be if we are living in US or foreign country without a helper on tow. So far, we are surviving and somehow we're loving it a bit. I just don't know how long would we be able to manage this kind of set up. Oh well, I am trying my best to become a domesticated wife (for once, hehehe).

I promised myself though that tomorrow would really be our day off. NO household chores, no call center jobs and definitely no side jobs!

Jo, you can also call that set up as bonding time and teamwork. Imagine, you do the laundry while your hubby is in charge of the kitchen.
