A Friend in Rome

A close friend of mine called this morning. I was actually surprised to know that she was assigned to Italy for 3 months now. She told me that things happened so fast that she did not have the time to let us know – until today. All I can say is that I am really so happy for my friend. She deserves it after all. She have worked her way to becoming a certified public accountant, then getting a senior position in an auditing firm here in the Philippines and now she will make her marks in Italy.

We’ve been so hooked with our chitchats and would you believe that she wants us (hubby, me and another close friend of ours) to come and visit her? She said that we can stay in her Rome apartment if we want to. She said that she can then tour us in Florence where we could check in Hotel Florence – she knows I love getting to check in in different hotels. Then of course, there is Venice. She said that this place is a must for couples just like me and my hubby. Personally, I love Venice and can’t wait to check Hotel Venice. I am really a sucker for good hotel accommodations as you can see. Waaah, how I wish getting a tourist visa would be easy so that we can visit her.

Mac Games Update

As mentioned on my previous post, my husband got addicted with mac games. And since there are so many sites that offer free mac games for download, now my husband is spending 5 hours in front of the PC. And his latest addiction? Sparkle for mac! Haaay, I am to be blame for this. Why did I ever tell him to download a mac game in the first place?

Take Two

So for the second time, I was back to Villa Antonina Resort but this time, I was with our team. We have been planning for so long for a team outing (first plan is Subic) but then we just settled for a nearby resort so that most of us can come. We had so much fun just talking, eating, swimming (for some) and of course taking pictures. We are one team of camera shy folks. Look, heheh!

Which is which?

Sounds as if we are so confused over very serious matters, right? Actually, just a bit confused about which movie to watch first - Iron Man or When Love Begins? Ah! A movie marathon sounds good but we're not doing that. I'll give in na lang - Iron Man comes first but definitely we NEED to watch When Love Begins on May 1. :)

Mac Games Addicts

Are you one of those? Some officemates of mine are just so addicted with mac games. We used to stay at our recreational hall, singing our hearts out during break time. This has been our way of unwinding after reviewing calls. But now, guess what? During break time, all they do is play mac games. I even saw them downloading free mac games once. Of course seeing all these commotions, I can not help but check out what they are up to.

Then out of curiosity, I asked hubby to download Airport Mania for Mac one day. My bad! Now, hubby is one mac game addict, too but am still not. Probably these online games are not for me.

Paris, Here I Come!

Oh, how I wish I would be able to say that soon! Paris has always been my dream travel destination since high school. I remember we had entrepreneurship class then and they assigned us to create our own business. I think I was dreaming wide awake then since I was able to come up with my own business - a cozy restaurant located in the heart of Paris, France.

So until now I am still hoping that I would be able to visit Paris, even without my dream restaurant. Could you believe that I am spending 4 to 5 hours surfing the Internet looking for Paris Hotels? Oh yes, I am doing that! I am searching for Hotel Paris which would be located strategically within the area of the famous travel attractions like le Louvre or Tour Eiffel. I have also read that it is good to check out Paris bed and breakfast. These kinds of accommodations, according to the material I read would help you experience and appreciate the Parisian culture and way of life better.

Where ever you travel, the accommodation should be planned properly. Anyway, after a long walk, getting to rest in a nice and cozy bedroom is one of the best part of traveling.

I was just scanning through our albums and then I saw old pictures taken by hubby when he went to Pagudpud about a year ago. Too bad I have work then and could not come with him. Actually he went there for work but still they passed by the beach and the Bangui Windmills.

We actually planned going back there together but then something happened and we canceled the plan. Now I am posting these pictures and at the same time giving my hubby a hint that I still want to go there given the much needed loooong break from lots and lots of work :)

After more than a year, I am feeling again backaches (used to be so mild only). The culprit – that hump at my right upper back.

My dextroscoliosis was first diagnosed when I was in college but was first noticed during high school. I remember the school doctor telling me then that it could just be a mild skeletal deformity since I am not feeling any pain at that time. But when I was in college, a cousin taking up physical therapy noticed it and helped us consult a doctor. So there it was found out that it is indeed scoliosis even if I did not really had those painful backaches.

As days go by, I observed that my shoulders are not really leveled – the right one is a bit higher. I am also feeling little by little those backaches caused by prolonged lying on my side or by carrying heavy things. I even got afraid then because I do not want to wear those braces to correct that bump at my back – I thought that is the only solution. Luckily, they did not prescribe me with those but I need to do rehabilitation. They gave me exercises not to really correct the deformity but to help me alleviate the pain. Doing those cat stance and other stretching exercises became part of my everyday rituals. Then aside from these exercises, I also need to go to the clinic (Perpetual Help) so that PTs can help me with other complicated exercises. Right now the only cure for these backaches - is my hon! He needs to rub my back or massage it a little so that I would be relieve from pain. I think it's also high time that I check out some foam toppers that are designed for those who have scoliosis.

The downside of having scoliosis:

  • Your body is unleveled - from shoulder to waist line to hips. In my case my right side is higher than the left.
  • There is a hump at my back - for me the curvature is C-shape. Mine is in the right side that is why when I wear body fit shirts/blouses, my crooked back is quite obvious. And sometimes the clothes don't fit perfectly - there is always a crease somewhere when there should be none (again because of the bump).
  • Mild to severe backaches. You would feel sharp pain in your back after prolonged standing or carrying heavy stuffs.
  • There are nights that you just don't know which position would you do when sleeping. There are certain positions that you get uncomfortable.
  • This, I haven't experience yet but they say these backaches as well as the uncomfortable feeling when lying down double when you get pregnant.

Men who are Hot! Tag

Mich tagged me with this, hehehe! I think I love this tag ~chuckles~

The question is who are the men you want to sleep with if you were single. Mich, it took me just about 3 or 4 days lang pala to think and not one week.

Anyway, here are my ultimate crushes:

1. Piolo Pascual - I am an avid fan of Lobo because of papa Piolo. My husband knows that. But every time I say "ang gwapo ni papa Piolo", my husband would tell me "maganda sya hon". Hay, I don't really care, for me he's hot pa din. He has great body and very expressive eyes. :)

2. Orlando Bloom - Just look at this picture! Hmmmph, yummilicious! :)

3. Dennis Trillo - I envy Carlene, joke. I think he can be sexy and at the same time look so clean and handsome (and innocent?).

Do hot guys really have to be naked waist up in pictures? waaaaaah!

Model Wannabe

Believe it or not, I am one of those! And that hope does not end even until now that I am married. I am spotting though a modeling career sporting a big bump on my tummy; you know that fashion TV show for preggies, don’t you? I think that is where I would really want to belong if I’ll get pregnant (I hope that would be soon).

But for those young beautiful model wannabes, here is the good news! Look of the Year is opening a beauty contest where $10,000 USD is at stake. And if luck is just about your way, you can even land a promising modeling career in Paris, New York or even Milan. All you have to do is send the best photo that you have. This would be your ticket to the most glamorous career ever (as for me and for those who still remain as model wannabes)!

So what else are you waiting for? Submit that picture now at and get spotted by well known modeling agencies that would make your dreams come true!

Fun, Fun, Fun!

I was just checking out the newly uploaded pictures we had during our swimming. And guess what? I am overly happy just thinking about the good time we had during the overnight swimming. Yes, it was quite short but definitely worth remembering. Kids and even the mommies and daddies really had fun. This actually happens so rarely since my sister's family is based in Batangas so they could not just go home to Pampanga often. That is why when my pamangkins took the vacation here, we did not think twice to come up with a simple family outing.

Villa Antonina Resort is actually near our place so at first we thought that we would just meet the whole family there. But they were bringing so many stuffs so my brother texted me that we need to pick up some of these things from my parents’ place. We arrived there at past 12 noon. Would you believe my pamagkins were getting really impatient? Little lang naman but they were telling us that they were ready to leave us and was telling their parents na: "Iwan na lang natin sina Tita Len and Tito Vox". Hay, they were really excited!

So we checked it at past 2 pm (Sunday) and of course, the kids changed to their swim wear right away. The daddies and the uncle were there to supervise the little fellows. We, the ladies on the other hand took the time to chitchat and just inspect the place. As soon as the heat of the sun became bearable, we also took the plunge and swam. The kids were really tired and went to bed early with their Mommy Dess (my mom) and Daddy Kong (my dad). So this gave us time to bond and be merry minus the babies. We enjoyed the videoke and my sister-in-laws antics! Panalo talga sis-in-law ko - she was the star of the night! hahah! Then we all went back to the pool and enjoyed it! We left the pool and took a rest when the guard gave us the queue that it was already time to clean the pool - so that was about 12 midnight na.

The next day, the kids woke up early and what else would they do? Of course soak up in the sun and swim. Though we all would not want this outing to end yet, we have no choice but prepare for check out comes 12 noon. Overall, the kids really had a great time and so all of us (even my parents were so happy). So next time, we are planning an outing at Batangas. We would all go to my ate's place naman for a change. Hope this would push through. :)

Here are some pics:

Bonding Time

I am looking forward to be with the whole family (our side) tomorrow. All my pamangkins are here in Pampanga so we arrange for an overnight swimming at Villa Antonina Resort. And I heard from my sister-in-law that the kids are all excited about the swimming. I think I just know how that feels. I remember when I was about their age - I don't care at all if I have sunburn all over my body or my eyes are already red. All I want then was play in the pool even if my mother was already calling me to eat or even if the sun is at its hottest. Then I also can remember that I even had dreams of playing in the pool during the night. I even kicked my sister while sleeping. Hay, sarap maging bata ulit :)

Anyway, I am leaving all of you with the pictures of the whole cast of YAGIT, hehe.

waaah! mga dugyot!!!!

Just When They Thought It Was Funny

I overheard the other night the news about a gay who was operated in Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu because of a cologne canister located at his rectum (I bet you all know this by now). Unfortunately, I did not catch the whole story. It was just earlier that I saw the clip at You Tube. My golly! I could not help but react with the unprofessional way of how these doctors and nurses behaved during the operation. They were laughing and making a big joke out of the sedated patient. SO wrong!

The way I understand it, each patient should have the right for privacy. Also there should be confidentiality with the patient's information and records. What these supposedly "professionals" should be doing is provide respectful and very considerate care due to their patients, especially in that case (since they were dealing with the private part of the patient). But of course, what they did? They feast on the “funny" scenario being presented to them.

Just when these doctors and nurses thought that what they were doing was funny, little (or total lack of it) did they think that they were the ones who looked so funny in this situation. The gay patient should not feel humiliated at all with what really happened but these medical practitioners should feel terribly humiliated! Shame on them! They deserve dismissal for breaking the code of conduct and ethical standards- that I hope will serve them right.

Still Here

Yes pips, I am still here. It's just that I got so lazy the past few days. See, 10 days have passed since my last post. So what kept me from blogging?

  • Less paid opps - so there, got lazy to tap the keyboard and compose a post - no need for a filler eh.
  • Got engrossed with surfing. The moment I sit down on my computer at home, all I did was surf about travel, food, restaurants, finances, fashion, infertility, adoption, pregnancy and business.
  • Writing gigs that I need to check and edit almost everyday.
  • My body seems to love the bed so much. I always look forward to long sleep or just relax while have my eyes on the boob tube.
So basically, it all boils down to being a lazy bone. I know that there are so many tags that I owe you blogger friends - I'll try my very best to answer them all. Also, to those who want to exchange link, promise I will check your blogs and add your links later.

Egg Yolk???

Yummy Milk Tea

Yes, I am an avid fan of milk tea. Just can't resist the taste! I used to drink coffee in the morning to perk me up but this time, I am just so in love with milk tea (whether it's cold or hot). It's actually my comfort drink this summer - with so much ice in it- haay winner talaga!

I think I was converted when I first tasted Nai Cha of Chowking. The only problem is that it has so much ice that it's just so bitin because after taking some sip, ubos na pala and you would see so much ice left in the glass. Aba, parang lugi ata, lols!

Then I also tasted the milk tea of SR Thai. I just dropped by one of their restos near UST (Dapitan branch) and ordered their tea. Aba for a price of about 30 pesos, sulit na! Their milk tea is the best considering the so cheap price.

Then there is also the thai milk tea of Banana Leaf. I love the glass and though it is already served in a tall glass, I ended up wishing that they would put it in a taller glass pa. Bitin pa din since it's so yummy!

And since it's not everyday that I get to taste these yummy milk tea from these food restos, I got an alternative. I am contented with the new Lipton Instant Milk Tea. Just tasted though the Original and the Gold flavor, not yet the Vanilla variant. Just make sure not to put in too much water and ice or else you would lose the flavor (matabang kasi). And now, I also tried the Galinco brand Nai Cha. This one is sweeter so it is advisable to put in much ice. And when my stash of instant milk tea run out, of course there should be an alternative. I go with the classic Lipton teabag and put in coffeemate or fresh milk just to cater to my milk tea cravings. Ano ba to? I am really a milk tea addict na, waaah!!!

My next target would be the Bubble Tea and MineShine (from 7-Eleven). Come on and share your own discovery of yummy milk tea para matikman ko din! :)

FYI, this is not a paid Lipton opps. :)

One Hot Sunday

As I check on my posts, it seems that they are all tags, awards or paid opps. So for a change let me share a "real" post, lol!

For these past few days, my husband was actually telling me about checking out other subdivisions/villages that are being developed in Pampanga (there are a lot, actually) - in San Fernando, Bacolor and Angeles. So earlier, we tried to check one - we actually have to check another one in San Fernando but we run out of time since we still need to go to Sasmuan to fetch lola. We checked Xevera Homes. Of course, you won't be able to appreciate everything since they are still under construction but the idea that everything you wanted is all within your reach is really brilliant - the wet and dry market, the municipal hall, no tricycles (they have services inside the subdivision 24 hrs - so less ingay un), restos, swimming pool, function hall, schools (Montessori), and church are so near and are inside the subdivision. As hubby put it in, they would turn out as great investments in few years.

The townhouses are also small but again they are my husband's target (since as he mentioned nga - great investment daw). I actually loved checking the model houses - just like when we first search for our house. There are few things/designs that I think I would want to copy. They have actually managed to design the small space without really looking so small (kahit na so small sila talga). Here are some photos we took:

i like the wall - it's made out of planks of wood

love also the wall here, the color and the Indian touch of the interior design
and the TV pa (heheh)

taken at the hallway - they need to make use of mirrors to
create the illusion that the space is big

we enjoyed taking pix of our reflection in the mirror

sabi ni hubby - sarap daw magtambay dito, lols!

the fountain in front of the church

So there, nag tripping lang kami this one hot Sunday. Anyway, have a great weekend! :0)

A Promising Career

Right now, those jobs in the field of medicine/health care are so promising. But most often we just hear great opportunities for nurses, doctors and med techs. Little did we know that there is a promising career as well to pharmacy technician. Right now, the median pharmacy technician salary range from $10 to $13. But before you pass as a pharmacy tech, you need to undergo training first. So if you think that you are ready to plunge into a promising career such as this, then you might want to check out The right training and certification you need is what you will get!
